Extensions to and remodelling of a semi-detached farm workers cottage located in rural Worcestershire to create a sustainable family home. Design involved extending  the front of the cottage with a single storey addition and at the side and to the rear with two storey additions. Careful detailing of the existing vernacular of the cottage was retained with the use of reclaimed facing brickwork, natural slate tiling and exposed rafter ends  whilst integrating a part contemporary approach with the use of modern powder coated aluminium framed glazing elements and matching rainwater goods.
